BEDOK OUT, BUKIT TIMAH IN AS ALEX ZHANG IS CROWNED MISTER SINGAPORE 2008

Singapore – June 15, 2009 - The Mister Singapore Organization announced today that Jovin Koh of Bedok has been terminated as MISTER SINGAPORE 2008, and the First Runner-up, Alex Zhang, will ascend to the title and serve the remaining two months of the term.

Koh was dismissed for breach of contract because he has failed to fulfill the duties required of the title, including competing at the MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2008 pageant as Singapore’s representative. The MISTER SINGAPORE title comes with a large array of responsibilities including, but not limited to, competing at the MISTER INTERNATIONAL pageant.

"We are disappointed that it did not work out with Jovin, but we wish him all the best in his future endeavors," explains Alan Sim, President of the Mister Singapore Organization. "We are extremely excited that Alex Zhang will be taking over the title and are confident that he will be a great MISTER SINGAPORE," adds Sim.
