MISTER LEBANON WISSAM HANNA CROWNED MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2006
DURING THE PAGEANT HELD IN SINGAPORE
Singapore, October 7, 2006 – This evening, during one of the year's most exciting annual events, a star-studded panel of judges chose Mister Lebanon Wissam Hanna as MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2006.
The 25-year-old contestant from Jezzine won the judges’ votes at the conclusion of the first annual pageant that took place from The Pavilion @ Far East Square. Wissam is a model, actor and TV presenter. He won over $ 50,000 in cash and prizes.
MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2006 was chosen by a panel of celebrity judges which included: International Pageant Personality William Prendiz de Jurado of Los Angeles, California, the United States, Director of 77th Street and CEO/Master Trainer of SgFitness.com Chris Chew, Assistant Editor of 8 Days Phin Wong, Director of Carriemodels International Jane Liong, Renowned Photographer Cedric Lim, Glassblower and Official MISTER INTERNATIONAL trophies sponsor Galen, Miss Singapore Universe 1986 Farah Lange, Founder and Director of NewUrbanMale.com Shenzi Chua, Director of iGlamour Jackeline Tan and Senior Sales Manager of Meritus Mandarin Singapore, Raymond Leong.
Throughout the two-hour event, the contestants competed in three categories: swimwear, evening wear and interview. During these competitions, the Top Five Finalists were selected before the crowning before an estimated viewing audience of more than 500, followed by worldwide viewing audience via MisterSingapore.Org, the Mister Singapore Organization Web site.
Final Results:
First Runner-up: Mister Venezuela Javier Delgado will assume the duties of MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2006 if the Titleholder for some reason cannot fulfill his duties.
Second Runner-up: Mister Greece Konstaninos Avrampos
Third Runner-up: Mister Latvia Karlis Karolis
Fourth Runner-up: Mister USA Chaka Sedgwick
Rest of Top Eleven: Mister Indonesia Andreano Philip, Mister Italy Victorio Alba, Mister Zealand Jay Singh, Mister Philippines Ken Escudero, Mister Singapore Dennis Lau and Mister Sri Lanka Roshan Ranawana.
Jabs Waterboys Fashion Swimwear and Fitness Award: Mister Venezuela Javier Delgado. This is presented to the winner of the Jabs Waterboys Swimwear and Fitness Competition.
Braziliano Praia Beach Action Award: Mister Lebanon Wissam Hanna.
NUM International Ambassador Award: Mister Italy Victorio Alba.
One Men Show Mister Photogenic International Award: Mister Philippines Ken Escudero. The general public voted on www.MisterSingapore.Org for the contestant who exemplifies great looks through the lens of a camera.
Mister Congeniality Singapore Award: Mister Singapore Dennis Lau. The award reflects the respect and admiration of the contestant’s peers, who voted for him as the most congenial, charismatic and inspirational contestant.
National Costume Award: Mister Lebanon Wissam Hanna. Presented to the contestant who displayed his country's pride and spirit best in costume.
